Case Study Gabby
Patient is a healthy 24 year old woman referred from her orthodontist for consultation for orthognathic surgery.
Findings:
- Maxillary hypoplasia in the transverse dimension (upper jaw too narrow)
- Mandibular hypoplasia in the anterior-posterior dimension (lower jaw too short)
Treatment Plan
- Phase I: Surgically Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion and removal of wisdom teeth
- Phase II: Mandibular advancement using distraction osteogenesis
